What every pet sitter sheet should cover

The best instructions are specific. 'Feed in the morning' invites mistakes; '3/4 cup dry food at 7am and 6pm, half a scoop of wet food on top' does not. Write for someone who has never met your pet and assume nothing is obvious.

Feeding and daily routine

Note food type, exact amounts, times, where the food is stored, treats that are allowed, and anything your pet must never eat. Add the walk or litter schedule and any quirks — a dog that bolts at the door, a cat that hides from strangers.

Medication, vet and emergency contacts

List each medication with dose and timing, your vet's name, address and phone, the nearest 24-hour emergency clinic, and a backup human contact. This single block is the part sitters thank you for most.
